Testimonials
The destinations and trek were sensational and the mountain
scenery is bigger and better than you could ever imagine from pictures.
Utilising indigenous guides and porters and listening to their stories of the land made the experience even more emotional and increased my feeling of connection to the land. The city components of the tours were also informative but gave enough free time to explore. The only down side was in the end the exposure to Peru and South America left me wanting to see more. It’s a fabulous continent and I want to go back.
Caryn
The Inca Trail isn’t just about reaching Machu Picchu—it’s
the journey itself that makes it unforgettable. Along the way, I got to know the incredible guides and porters, and learned so much about the Inca civilization. By the time I arrived at Machu Picchu, I had a much deeper appreciation for its history and significance. It truly enhanced the entire experience.
Kevin
Going to Peru with someone who had lived in South America
for an extended period of time just added another dimension to the whole trip. Phil even spoke the local Cusco dialect which surprised many locals.
The itinerary maximised the available time and the guides
for the Machu Picchu trail were wonderful, providing a lot of much-needed motivation for someone that should have been a bit fitter.
Cheryle and Phil were constantly checking in with us to make
sure our rooms and services were comfortable and that we were feeling ok from the effects of the high altitude. They were very attentive hosts during the whole trip and I would highly recommend them and look forward to a new itinerary for my next trip!

Can I come on the Peru Adventure: Ancient to Modern Tour and not do the 4 Day Inca Trail?
Yes. We offer the 3 Day Sacred Valley Experience option. This will be an itinerary we discuss with you to suit your interests .
How will high altitude (Sorcoche) affect me?
It is unpredictable how it can affect each individual no matter your age or fitness. To minimise effects and symptoms of high altitude we fly one hour by plane from Lima (sea level), the capital to Cusco., the old capital capital (3400m). We are met at Cusco airport by private transfer to the Sacred Valley about 1 hour by road to Urubamba (2800m) and we acclimate for approximately 4 days before going on the 4 Day Inca Trail (various high altitudes)
Can I do the 4 Day Inca Trail but not sure if I'm fit enough?
We have a special webinar recording that we can share that is focussed on the Success of Doing the Inca Trail and preparation based on our experiences.
